Who We Are and the Heart Behind It All

Hunts Holistic Haven began as a quiet calling — a return to the rhythms and remedies I first discovered as a child in the woods. The name came from my family's farm that I spent my summers as a child in Jackson County, just at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains: Hunts Haven. My family, being early settlers to these mountains, I have always been drawn to the hills and hollows and the beautiful resources and wisdom it gives.

Rooted in that place and its traditions, Hunts Holistic Haven blends time-honored herbal knowledge with an intentional, modern approach to wellness. Each remedy and ritual we craft is informed by hands-on experience: the scent of crushed mint from a morning walk, the calming steam of boiled chamomile harvested at dawn, the grounding weight of clay dug from an old spring. We honor the land that taught us by using sustainably sourced whole botanicals, supporting regenerative practices, and privileging small-batch preparation to preserve potency and integrity.

Our offerings are designed for those who seek refined simplicity — products and practices that support daily resilience, clarity, and connection. Expect formulations that are precise and effective, presented with clean aesthetics and clear instructions. From tinctures and balms that soothe persistent tensions to curated rituals for rest and renewal, every item reflects a commitment to purity, transparency, and efficacy.

Education is central to our practice. We provide thoughtful guidance on seasonal care, herbal pairings, and mindful use so that wellness becomes a lived practice rather than a fleeting trend. We believe true health grows from consistent, small acts—an evening tea ritual, a moment of breath in the morning, a salve applied with intention—and that these acts are most meaningful when rooted in place and story.

Hunts Holistic Haven invites you to a sophisticated, grounded way of caring for yourself: one that honors ancestral wisdom, rigorous sourcing, and simple, enduring beauty.

Skye Hunt: I am the founder and heart behind Hunts Haven. My path to this work has been anything but linear — shaped by moves, missteps, and handfuls of hard-won wisdom — and it’s precisely those experiences that led me to the calling of guiding others toward holistic healing.

I was born in West Virginia and by the age of 15 had lived in California, Arizona, and England. Early life was not easy; I learned resilience the hard way, taking wrong turns and collecting lessons that later became stepping stones. After culinary school, I returned to West Virginia in 2017. In 2019 I earned my yoga teacher certification, a pivotal moment that deepened my relationship with the body, breath, and conscious practice. That initial spark grew into a committed pursuit of holistic education: I graduated with an Associate of Integrative Health and Science, focusing on herbal medicine, from the American College of Healthcare and Science — with honors.

Yoga, herbs, and a healthy mindset have been my anchors. These practices reshaped my perspective and healed patterns I once thought unchangeable. I felt a strong pull to share that transformation. Hunts Haven is my answer to that calling: a place where practical herbal knowledge, mindful movement, and intentional mindset work come together to support people who have weathered difficult chapters and are ready to begin anew.

I’ve walked through uncertainty, and I know how potent it is to find guidance that resonates — not as a quick fix, but as steady, empowering practice. At Hunts Haven I offer this guidance grounded in training, old traditions, lived experience, and a deep belief in the restorative power of holistic healing. My mission is simple: to show others how life can shift when we tend to body, mind, and spirit with care, clarity, and compassion.

At Hunts Holistic Haven, the heart behind it all is simple: a deep, unshakeable commitment to whole-person wellness. We believe lasting health arises from the careful convergence of intention, knowledge, and compassion—applied to body, mind, and life.

What that means in practice

  • Thoughtful integration: Each service, product, and recommendation is chosen not for trendiness but for how well it complements the whole person. Nutrition, movement, herbal support, restorative therapies, and mental-emotional care are woven together so one modality enhances another.

  • Evidence-informed care: We honor traditional wisdom while grounding what we do in contemporary research and clinical best practice. That balance keeps offerings both meaningful and effective.

  • Personalized attention: No two bodies or stories are identical. We prioritize listening—asking precise questions, observing carefully, and tailoring plans so they meet the real needs and rhythms of each person.

  • Long-term empowerment: Our aim is not temporary fixes but sustained agency. Education, practical tools, and incremental goals help clients build resilient habits they can maintain.

  • Ethical stewardship: Sourcing, sustainability, and transparency matter. We choose ingredients and partners that reflect respect for people and the planet.
